Your Vietnam trip begins in charming Hanoi, Vietnam's artistic and intellectual capital with its fascinating Old Quarter, hundreds of specialty shops selling silk clothing, lacquer ware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects and more.

Next, fly to Saigon, the country's commercial center to visit Chinatown, the Thien Hau Pagoda, the Reunification Palace, the Opera House, the Hotel de Ville and the powerful War Remnants Museum. Explore colorful outdoor markets and Dong Khoi Street, the city's main shopping boulevard with fashion boutiques, hill tribe crafts, high quality linens and house wares. And be sure to try Saigon's strong Vietnamese iced coffee and a banh mi (baguette sandwich). You also visit the must-see Cu Chi Tunnels as well as enjoy another day trip to the Mekong Delta to experience the traditional side of Vietnamese river life.

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (D)

Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After a short relaxation period you will have a leisurely cyclo ride wandering around the Hanoi Old Quarter before continuing to a Indian restaurant for dinner. You will stay overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B/L/D)

Today you have a full day to explore the city of Hanoi including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum and the Temple of Literature. You can choose a Indian restaurant for lunch or can taste “Pho”, one of the Vietnamese world-wide famous dishes and have a short break before continuing your day with a visit to the Vietnam Military museum. Then you will have time to take a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoy people-watching at one of the numerous stylish cafes or shop for modern art in the city's myriad galleries. You will enjoy a traditional water puppet performance followed by a dinner at a Indian restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L/D)

At 7:30am, you will enjoy a 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay via the Red River Delta. Once at Halong City you will board our boat for a 4 hour cruise of this stunning area, stopping along the way to visit some of the beautiful limestone caves in the area. As you cruise our boat staff will serve you a sumptuous local seafood lunch on board. After a 4 hour navigation you go back to harbor for a drive back to your hotel in Hanoi. After a short break you will enjoy dinner at a Indian restaurant and an overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Saigon (B/L/D)

Today you will fly to Saigon in the morning. Meeting with your local guide at the airport, you will transfer to the hotel for check in and relax. Lunch at an Indian restaurant.

In the afternoon you have a private tour to visit the Reunification Palace, the Opera House and the Hotel de Ville. You should also visit the powerful War Remnants Museum. You'll stroll through the city's main shopping boulevard with fashionable boutiques and hill tribe crafts, high quality linens and house wares. Dinner will be at a Indian restaurant and you stay overnight in Saigon.

Day 5: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon (B/L/D)

In the morning you will leave Ho Chi Minh and travel to lush My Tho, where you will cruise on a private boat through the green vegetation lining the canals. You will stop at an orchard, where you will be treated to a delicious pork-free lunch in a local restaurant (Picnic Indian food lunch is available and on request). You can also visit the snake farm, Dong Tam, which breeds snakes for (among other things) snake wine. Back to Ho Chi Minh for dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 6: Cu Chi tunnels (B/L/D)

In the morning you will enjoy an excursion to the famous Cu Chi tunnels, 70 km North of Saigon. This visit will bring you a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War. The tunnels consist of more than 200 km of underground tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. You will go back to Saigon for lunch at a Indian restaurant then you have free time to relax or do some shopping in Saigon’s downtown or the Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 7: Departure (B)

There are no activities planned for today, so you are free to enjoy your free time as you wish until being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
